Who we are

Dhar is a personal finance & loan-management app. This policy explains what we collect and how we protect it.

Information we collect

• Account info: name, phone number, and (optionally) email — used to create and secure your account.
• Financial data you enter: transactions, accounts, loans, categories, budgets — stored to provide the service.
• Device info: a device identifier and push-notification token to sync and notify you.
• Contacts (optional): only when you choose to pick a person from your phone book; used solely to fill in a name/number for a loan. We do not upload your contact list.

How your data is protected

Your personal financial data is stored on your device and, if you enable cloud sync, uploaded only as end-to-end encrypted blobs. The encryption key is derived on your device — we cannot read your financial data. Only shared-loan fields you explicitly share are visible to the other party.

How we use data

To operate the App: authentication, sync/backup, shared loans, and notifications. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Sharing

We share data only: (a) with the counterpart of a loan you choose to share, and (b) with service providers that run our infrastructure (hosting, Google Firebase for push notifications and sign-in) under confidentiality obligations.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your account data until you delete it. You can delete your account and data anytime — see Delete Account.

Children

Dhar is not directed at children under 13.
